ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Have a firm understanding, both theoretical and applied on multiple mechanical, electrical and electronic components to operate and drive HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, including but not limited to AHU's, RTU's, chillers, boilers, rack systems, condensing units and self-contained refrigeration equipment. Diagnose and repair problems involving HVAC and Refrigeration equipment. Install equipment or parts and perform maintenance on both HVAC and Refrigeration equipment. Customer based activities requiring and individual possessing trait of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgement, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a credible manner. Serving as a member of the SCR team displaying timely, efficient and profitable accomplishment of assigned jobs and tasks. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other allied duties as assigned by supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Degree/diploma in HVAC/R preferred. Should be EPA certified for handling refrigerant or obtain certification within 180 days. Must have a PLT license or be registered with the state as a Registered Unlicensed PLT or apply for your Registered Unlicensed PLT within 90 days of your start date. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in HVAC/R. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a neat and clean appearance. Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and up to 50lbs repetitively. Ability to climb up and down a ladder carrying tools, equipment, and/or parts in safe manner. Ability to work efficiently given time constraints, extreme weather conditions, varying customer needs and demands, and back-log contraints. Experience, knowledge, and proven skills in accurately diagnosing and efficiently accomplishing a job to the mutual benefit of the customer and the organization. Mechanical ability and excellent problem solving skills. Current driver's license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
