Robert Half is partnered with a leading Baton Rouge construction company in search of a Accounting Analyst. As an Accounting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, analyzing financial data, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. Responsibilities:

• Conduct revenue and expense analysis to identify trends and suggest corrective actions

• Review and reconcile assigned monthly accounts to maintain accuracy

• Assist in the preparation of forecasts and budgets

• Develop strategies to improve profitability and streamline processes

• Respond to audit-related requests and provide necessary information

• Serve as a backup for various accounting functions

• Analyze historical financial results and activities

• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in all accounting tasks

• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Financial Reporting, and Financial Analysis in daily tasks.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Experience in public accounting audit highly preferred

• Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting

• Proven experience with Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in working with General Ledger systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in handling Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with Financial Reporting and Financial Analysis

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of the construction/contractor industry would be advantageous
