Why work at MCC: Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 hourly Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating Holidays Responsibilities: Safety: Champion all aspects of personal and Plant Safety. Instill a sense of self-responsibility for safety among associates. Ensure the safety of the associates, safe use of equipment and PPE, and housekeeping. Customer Relationship: Promote a customer-centered culture at the plant, including customer quality visits as necessary. Technical Knowledge: Develop and continually improve technical knowledge of processes in order to continually improve and problem solve. Utilize and report results in Radius. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of relentless pursuit of continuous improvement and lean practices, focused and data based. Utilize MDI and process confirmation system to drive quality improvement. People: Support and enforce plant guidelines. Drive engagement and accountability. Train & develop associates in the quality department as necessary. Quality: Optimize the production process to assure that quality is built-in, not inspected in. Quality levels must meet customer requirements. Support quality initiatives and corrective actions to drive a culture that supports our Quality Statement and helps employees learn and improve. Work directly with the quality manager to understand & document customer requirements with respect to testing & specifications. May aid in investigating and/or correcting product quality issues. Perform COA/COCs for customers as required. Collects and reviews reject information as assigned by Quality Manager. Conducts data collection and analysis as required. Assist in BRC internal audits as assigned. Collects and distributes samples/PDS (pre-delivery samples) as required. Values: Model the Corporate Values and Principles. Leadership: Continually improve leadership and management skills. Lead and engage team; drive for understanding of KPIs and ensure results which support plant goals and KPIs. Drive engagement and accountability as a leader in the department. Qualifications: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, and have the ability to learn company specialized software programs. Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
