As EHS Associate , you will conduct inspections and tests to monitor EHS issues, assisting in employee training on EHS guidelines and regulations, maintaining EHS records, contributing to the development of EHS policies and procedures.

Shift: Rotating
Work location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau
Work Environment: This position is based in a manufacturing setting.
Relocation: Domestic relocation options are not available.
What You Will Do:
Implement and ensure compliance: Support the EHS Department in implementing and ensuring compliance with EHS policies, standards, protocols, and procedures according to local, state, and federal regulations.
Safety and health programs: Assist in implementing and supervising safety strategies and programs to prevent accidents, injuries, and health risks, including providing personal protective equipment and organizing medical examinations.
Environmental compliance: Ensure business activities comply with environmental regulations and best practices, focusing on pollution prevention, waste management, emission reduction, water conservation, and ecosystem protection.
Hazard and environmental assessments: Register and update hazard identification, risk assessment, and environmental aspect impact into the available system.
Document control and filing: Manage all EHS-related documents, including procedures, work instructions, forms, and organize the filing system.
What Skills You Have:
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Initiative: Being proactive and committing to action on self-identified job responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work and the drive to accomplish goals.
What Will Set You Apart :
Proficient in English.
Diploma with at least 5 years’ experience, or bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role.
Certified as a General or Intermediate Occupational Health and Safety Expert (AK3U/AK3 Madya).
Experienced in EHS training and holds a Training of Trainer Certificate (minimum KKNI level 3).
Knowledgeable in ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, SMK3 PP 50/2012, Contractor Safety Management System, and EHS tendering processes.
Proficient in data analysis or incident reporting systems.
Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):
- This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
