Job Description

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for quality management systems and practices within the facility. The incumbent will work towards routine and periodic assessment activities to ensure quality management system and other applicable regulatory compliance is maintained. The quality coordinator's responsibilities include inspecting materials and processes, ensuring compliance with new and existing quality standards and regulations, implementing quality management actions, and contributing to the development of company policies and procedures. The quality coordinator provides quality support to projects from the planning phase to project completion. Ensures procedures are followed to prevent against loss or theft. Ensures proper product handling, turnaround times, inventory accuracy, safety procedures and company policies are adhered to.

Job Duties

  • Conducts internal and participates in all external quality, safety and environmental audits.

  • Identify training needs and organize training reviews to meet quality standards.

  • Act as quality lead on assigned projects. Monitoring risk management activity to maximize opportunities.

  • Responsible for maintaining product quality ship hold binders and filing completed checklists and documents.

  • Identify quality issues and process improvements based on data analysis and metrics reports.

  • Act as lead in creating and develop recommendations for improving existing operational policies, procedures and processes.

  • Responsible for the preparation, review and revision of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI) and other relevant quality documentation.

  • Performs GMP audits ensuring the distribution center is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Maintains the central training filing system.

  • Logs and tracks NCRs and provides data based on findings-Label issues, carrier damage, and internal damage.

  • Utilize the principles, methods, and tools of Lean-Six Sigma to identify areas for improvement projects and implement solutions.

  • Train and support management and employees on continuous improvement methodologies including (but not limited to) Standard Work, 5S, Process Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • High school Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Minimum 1 Year of experience in related field.

  • Experience with quality system development, implementation and/or revision is preferred.

Preferred:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma certified or equivalent knowledge and practitioner experience.

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint are preferred.

  • Continuous improvement mindset, always thinking it can be done better # Internal and External customer satisfaction driven.

  • Experience in documenting business processes improvements.

  • Prior experience working within a quality management system.
