Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Barnwell, South Carolina

Description

Our client, a manufacturer about 45-60 minutes outside of Augusta, GA, is hiring a Sr. Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, providing crucial financial insights that will help shape the company's strategic decisions. This role will involve analysis, forecasting, and reporting of financial data, as well as assisting in the creation and maintenance of financial tools and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine tools for the accurate and efficient presentation of financial results.

• Assist in determining relevant KPIs and regularly update the reporting of KPI results.

• Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the finance team.

• Assist in the annual budgeting process and prepare monthly financial forecasts based on sales and production forecasts.

• Become proficient in data mining tools and lead in the training of other local finance team members.

• Assist in the preparation of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs), analyze expected impact, and perform subsequent analysis of performance versus expectation.

• Keep abreast of relevant market and customer data.

• Support the finance organization through the implementation of SAP S4.

• Work closely with the local controller and general accounting manager for long-term development.

• Utilize financial analysis tools such as PowerBI, Business Warehouse, Excel, Microsoft Analyzer, and other SAP bolt-on tools.

• Assist in the development of dashboards and other monthly or periodic financial reports.

Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analyst role within the manufacturing industry.

• Strong proficiency in Budget Processes and Capital Management.

• Demonstrated experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) and Financial Planning.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Excel Formulas.

• Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.

• Professional certification, such as CFA or CPA, is considered a plus.
