Aerotek Process Technician in Bardstown, Kentucky

Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

Deploy process technology to minimize process variation and optimize the manufacturing of our products. Improve machine efficiency through automation uptime and optimization. Perform mold start-ups using plastic fundamentals (applicable locations only). Maintain process guidelines through cycle times, E-Darts, clamp movement, etc. Install, troubleshoot, and remove EOAT. Troubleshoot material mixers and assist in color/material changes. Pull and understand FPI/SA paperwork and process variances. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment required, in accordance with all STW documentation. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain all CI, 5S, and STW activities. Other duties as assigned.

  • Perform mold start-ups using plastic fundamentals.

  • Maintain process guidelines through cycle times, E-Darts, clamp movement, etc.

  • Troubleshoot material mixers.

  • Assist in color/material changes.

  • Pull and understand FPI/SA paperwork and process variances.

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner using all required personal protective and safety equipment.

  • Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain all CI, 5S, and STW activities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Comfort in troubleshooting and mixing mechanical issues.

  • Experience in machine operating, maintenance, and adjustment.

  • Ability to perform mold setup and setting.

  • Understanding of injection molding processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of plastic injection molding experience (desired for higher pay).

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience (desired).

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience (desired).
