The Bing Places team is on a mission to empower people and organizations everywhere to explore, navigate and connect in the physical world. We deliver great local search and maps experiences to hundreds of millions of global users as part of Microsoft’s Bing search ecosystem. We are responsible for building these on multiple platforms leveraging the latest rendering technologies for the web. You will ship your code using an agile platform that ships code to production multiple times a day.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, deliver great user experiences partnering closely with Product Management, Design, Privacy and Legal teams.

• Apply coding patterns to writecode that is reliable, extensible and maintainable.

• Use debugging tools, logs, telemetry to proactively flag issues before they occur. Conduct retrospective debugging of code to identify root causes of problems.

• Collaborate with others to create a clear and articulated plan for development and testing of solutions.

• Analyzing user data to identify product opportunities to meet business goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar engineering/software/services experience.

• Atleast 2 years of professional software development experience in designing, developing, and shipping high quality software products.

• Atleast 2 of experience developing Web-centric features, frameworks, or services preferably using C#, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with web technologies such as TypeScript, CSS, HTML, React.

• Experience writing and maintaining web services.

• Good communication skills and demonstrated customer empathy.

• Passionate and collaborative team player with a drive to work in a fast-paced environment.
