Scentmate by dsm-firmenich is looking for a full-time open-minded and driven evaluator to be based in Barcelona. The role consists of serving small to medium customers in Europe cross categories, with a strong focus on personal and home care.

Your key responsibiltiies

Stong perfumery knowledge

• Understand consumers expectation and interest in driving this understanding through data.

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the fragrance and consumer products on European market.

• Tuned to the evolution of market shares and trends to detect needs by category.

• Identify gaps by category in library and ability to plan for pro-active olfactive solution.

• Open to learn and work on new categories.

Project management

• Understand the preferences and olfactive signatures of our own customers.

• Maximize use of the fragrance library to answer briefs.

• Qualify fragrances with method and create olfactive descriptions.

Team collaboration

• Design and express olfactive solutions to actively work with perfumers.

• Comfortable to lead presentations to clients.

• Collaborate efficiently & smoothly with the rest of the creative, marketing and sales teams.

You bring

• 5 to 10 years' experience in an evaluation role.

• Perfumery education: fragrance house own training, ISIPCA, ESP, Montpellier…

• Fluent in English (high proficiency). French or Spanish is a big plus.

• Obsessed with making the customer win.

• Curious about market preferences, trends and data in general.

• Passionate about fragrances and consumer products.

• Analytical and pragmatic with a creative and problem-solving mindset.

• A good communicator who loves managing projects.

• Optimist and strong team player, who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.

• Delivering against tight deadlines whilst keeping a cold head when dealing with pressure.
