Position Summary

In this position, the Apprentice Simulator Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the simulation training equipment meets contractual availability standards.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Familiarizing oneself with and conducting standard operational readiness checks to prepare simulation training equipment for daily use.

  • Executing preventative maintenance as outlined in published schedules for each training device.

  • Carrying out Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures based on monthly schedules for each training device.

  • Loading appropriate exercise scenarios and completing necessary tasks to ready the equipment for specific training sessions.

  • Learning to troubleshoot reported issues, verify simulator functionality, and address basic operational and maintenance problems.

  • Assisting in equipment restoration or escalating complex issues to senior staff.

  • Performing housekeeping tasks and maintaining journey logs before and after scheduled training sessions.

  • Supporting senior engineers in maintenance, issue resolution, and certification matters.

Ideal Profile

  • Ability to pursue a technical college qualification.

  • Basic knowledge and experience in computing hardware, software, and operating systems.

  • Interest and preferably some background in mechanical and electrical engineering systems.

  • Fundamental understanding and curiosity about aviation and aircraft systems.

  • Proficiency in PC applications such as Word and Excel.

  • Fluent in English.
