Massie Manufacturing Estimator/Inside Sales Coordinator in Baraga, Michigan

Massie Manufacturing, Inc. seeks a results-oriented Estimator/Inside Sales Coordinator to join their expanding team in Baraga, Michigan. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in delivering exceptional customer experiences by accurately estimating materials and time needed for product manufacturing. You'll also support our production planning process while forging strong relationships with both existing and new customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Craft Accurate Estimates. Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, and costs associated with custom-manufactured parts and assemblies.
  • Analyze & Assess. Review product specs and drawings to develop precise cost estimates and lead times.
  • Stay Ahead. Keep up with industry trends and market changes that might impact production costs.
  • Collaborate & Communicate. Work with various teams to gather information, prioritize tasks, and maintain smooth workflows.
  • Build Relationships. Develop and nurture strong relationships with customers to ensure they feel valued and supported.
  • Manage Quotes. Track quote opportunities, communicate with customers about open and pending quotes, and source suppliers for material pricing.
  • Find Savings. Identify ways to save on costs and improve production efficiency.
  • Support Orders. Handle data entry for new orders, schedule production, and manage customer orders and adjustments.
  • Provide Technical Support. Offer assistance to the production team, as well as outside sales reps and customers via phone and email.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • Experience. Proven experience as an Estimator is a plus, or at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills. Ability to read and understand blueprints and familiarity with SolidWorks®, AutoCAD®, or similar drafting tools.
  • Mathematical Proficiency. Strong skills in math, planning, and conceptual thinking.
  • Software Savvy. Strong ability to learn new software and experience with estimating software a bonus; MS Excel and Word required.
  • Detail-Oriented. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer Focused. Exceptional communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
