We're seeking an organized, guest-focused Spa Receptionist Supervisor to assist the Spa Manager and oversee the front-of-house team at the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa. As a Spa Receptionist Supervisor, you'll support the Spa Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the reception team, ensuring smooth scheduling, efficient transactions, and a welcoming environment for our guests. You'll assist with training staff, maintaining high service standards, and contributing to an unforgettable spa experience.

This is a seasonal position from Spring to Fall, with shifts that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Spa Manager in supervising the spa reception team, ensuring a welcoming and professional front desk experience for all guests.

  • Oversee appointment scheduling, guest inquiries, and point-of-sale transactions to maintain seamless operations.

  • Train, mentor, and support the reception team, ensuring consistency in customer service excellence.

  • Maintain and organize reception records, schedules, and inventory.

  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring complete satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with the Spa Manager to implement operational improvements and meet department goals.

  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance efficiency and morale.

  • Performs other duties assigned by the Spa Manager.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within hospitality or a similar setting.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency with scheduling software and point-of-sale systems (training provided).

  • Positive and team-oriented attitude with a commitment to guest service excellence.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and working on a computer.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.

Performance Measurement:

  • 90-day performance review, annual performance review, guest feedback, and team collaboration.
