As a Shift Coordinator, you will work directly with the Plant Manager, and the Shift Supervisor assisting in the day-to-day operations of the de-linting and packaging plants and shipping and receiving in the warehouse. Your primary focus will be on providing support for production, business, and a wide range of other processes within a team-oriented manufacturing environment. This includes performing activities in various cross-functional areas such as production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process re-engineering.

This will involve engaging in all aspects of seed quality assessment, including evaluating immatures, cracks, and seed color, to further enhance your expertise within the plant. You will also ensure that treatment and packaging activities are carried out in accordance with established standards.

  • Facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in "core skill" areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

  • Take charge of maintenance activities during the off-season months, as well as provide assistance with inventory counts of chemicals, bags, and raw materials.
