Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as a technical assistant on the source and content of all forms of information (formal publications, databases, audiovisual materials, unpublished information, and intelligence sources) pertaining to arms, ammunition and explosives. You will assist in the overall effort required to research, develop, test, evaluation, issue, receive, account, transport, order, and dispose of all Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (A A and E). You will provide for the operation and actual conduct of operations pertaining to AA and E demilitarization and disposal technology and procedures. You will perform analysis of the Department of the Navy Arms, Ammunition and Explosives program to assist in identifying the current and projected requirements. You will perform periodic spot checks of the OIS database, magazines, and issued security ammo to ensure procedures are being followed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-01 (GS-04 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector gathering data; conducting research; administering and tracking program requirements. (Note - Experience must be substantiated in your resume). General experience shows the ability to 1) Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Plan and organize work and; 3) Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Education Education may be substituted for specialized experience for the NH-02 as follows: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: Have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. -OR- Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This announcement uses the Direct Hire Authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. This position is part of the Navy Nuclear Deterrent Mission.
