Position Summary:

Responsibilities include: Operating medical imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes. Knowledgeable and proficient in current breast imaging techniques. Consistently obtain high quality imaging for Radiologist interpretation. General understanding of PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and its function. Documents patient care services in hospital records. Able to interact compassionately and effectively with the sick or injured. If qualified to perform Bone Density: Knowledgeable and proficient in current bone mineral density imaging and patient education.

Requirements:

Education: Two year college (Associate’s Degree) Trade or Technical School (Certificate or diploma)

Years of Experience: No previous experience

Licensure(s): State of Maine in radiologic technology

Certification(s): Advanced certification mammography and bone densitometry A.R.R.T preferred

Registration(s): A.R.R.T radiography Mammography and bone density preferred
