In this role, you will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making, defining sourcing strategies, and selecting providers that align with our customers’ IT and automation strategies. You will be the trusted advisor, accountable for delivering highly complex, multi-disciplined consulting engagements that provide lasting and measurable value to our esteemed customers. Your expertise in prioritizing use cases, conducting ROI and business case analyses, and seamlessly incorporating security and resiliency into future state designs will shape the foundation for success.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• Sales and consulting knowledge

• Experience as a Cloud Architect / Specialist AI Architect / Specialist or similar

• ITIL expertise and certifications

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Understanding of DevSecOps, Agile, Scrum construct to identify inefficiencies through readiness assessments and development of strategies and approaches to optimize the implementation of IT or cloud resources and capabilities

• Subject matter expertise in at least one platform (e.g. cloud computing, cloud hyperscaler, X86, mainframe, midrange)

• Exp 2-3 years in cloud filed (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)

• Managing pipeline, Create, Design solution

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Some key qualifications and skills for a cloud engineer include:

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.

  • Knowledge of networking, security, and storage technologies.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or Ansible. Ability to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members.

• Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect can also boost your credentials as a cloud engineer.

• TOGAF expertise and certifications

• Experience with various IT Operating Models and building organizations to deploy and support key technologies

• Advanced certification on key technologies within your platform or area of expertise

• Ability to articulate key technologies’ impact on security, availability, cost, capacity, etc.

• Experience in Agile (Kanban, SAFe, and Scrum)

Cost Efficiency : Cloud engineers help organizations optimize their cloud infrastructure, reducing costs associated with maintaining physical servers and hardware.

Scalability : Cloud engineers design systems that can easily scale based on demand, allowing businesses to quickly adapt to changing needs without major investments in new infrastructure.

Flexibility : Cloud engineers enable businesses to work from anywhere and access their data and applications on-the-go, increasing productivity and collaboration among remote teams.

Security : An understanding of cloud security best practices, identity access management (IAM), encryption methods, and compliance standards is essential to protect data and applications in the cloud.

Innovation : Cloud engineers drive innovation by leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and services to develop new solutions and enhance existing systems.

Disaster Recovery : Cloud engineers design backups and disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and minimizing downtime in case of unexpected events.

Automation (Pipeline) : Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet to automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources.

Cloud Computing Platforms : In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Understanding the services offered by these platforms and how to leverage them for different use cases is crucial.

Programming : Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby are valuable for creating custom scripts, automating tasks, and developing cloud-native applications.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Ability to set up monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Stackdriver to track performance metrics and troubleshoot issues in the cloud environment.

Collaboration and Communication : Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to design and implement cloud solutions that meet business requirements.

Overall, cloud engineers contribute significantly to the success and competitiveness of modern businesses by harnessing the power of cloud technology to drive efficiency, innovation, and growth.
