Verint Systems, Inc. Sr. Software Engineer - DBA in Bangalore, India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end BI solutions: Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and other team members to gather requirements and design scalable BI analytics and reporting solutions. Develop, test, and deploy efficient and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and visualizations using industry-standard BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar).

  • Data modeling and analysis: Work closely with the product owner and data management team to understand data structures, extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, and ensure data quality and integrity. Design and develop data models, data catalog, and data queries to support analytical requirements.

  • Data visualization and reporting: Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards, reports, and scorecards that effectively communicate complex data insights to various stakeholders. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting deliverables.

  • Performance optimization and maintenance: Continuously optimize the performance and efficiency of existing BI solutions. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the smooth operation of the BI infrastructure.

  • Data analysis and interpretation: Analyze and interpret complex data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs and provide valuable recommendations based on data-driven insights.

  • Documentation and training: Document technical specifications, data catalog, and best practices related to BI analytics and reporting solutions. Provide training and support to end-users to ensure proper utilization and adoption of BI tools and functionalities.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies related to BI analytics and reporting. Stay abreast of industry best practices and recommend enhancements to existing systems and processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in developing and implementing BI analytics and reporting solutions using tools like Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.

  • 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL Queries.

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and proficiency in writing efficient database queries.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technical solutions.

  • Strong data visualization skills, with an eye for creating visually appealing and intuitive dashboards and reports.

  • Experience in performance optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting of BI solutions.

  • Familiarity with programming languages and statistical analysis techniques is a plus.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
