A day in the life

As a Sr. QAE in the team, you will work closely with business and development teams and will lead and define the QA strategy for the whole product covering short term as well as long term as well as the automation and manual testing strategy for the product. You will also be responsible for setting up the right QA processes in the team and work with stakeholders (across Product and Tech) to implement them. You will also own leading a team of QAE2s and QAE1s to drive test planning and automation for (automating test case execution for front-end as well as back-end). You will also work with the SDETs to define the framework that will help build the automation needed for the product.

About the team

AVS Organization is chartered to enable Alexa outside of Amazon manufactured devices. Our team is responsible for building and evolving Alexa experience in all of partner devices. This is an opportunity to provide leadership and drive programs to build an innovative Alexa experience impacting billions of customers and devices. We are starting up India site in 2022 with exciting roadmap of innovation and scale.

The teams in India will independently own and deliver end to end products for partners and Alexa customers. The India team will consist of Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, Principal Engineer, Senior Engineers, QA Engineers and Software Development Managers

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

• 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience

• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role

• Experience in manual testing

• Experience in automation testing

• Experience scripting or coding

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of UI Automation (preferably on mobile platforms) experience

• Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C
