A strong SRE with expertise in Kubernetes and cloud environments (GCP, Azure)is essential for organizations that rely heavily on cloud-native applications and seek to maintain high levels of service reliability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• System Design and Architecture:

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate with development teams to integrate Kubernetes and cloud solutions into application architectures.

• Deployment and Management:

• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring they are secure, robust, and optimized for performance.

• Automate deployment processes using tools like Helm, Terraform, or Ansible.

• Monitoring and Logging:

• Implement monitoring (eg: Datadog, Opsramp) and logging solutions (Eg: Native cloud logging solution, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack ) to ensure visibility into system health and performance.

• Monitor alerts and dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Performance Optimization:

• Analyze system performance and conduct tuning exercises to improve efficiency.

• Work on resource optimization within Kubernetes to ensure cost-effective use of cloud resources.

• Incident Management and Troubleshooting:

• Lead incident response efforts to quickly resolve outages and service interruptions.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

• Security and Compliance:

• Implement security best practices in Kubernetes and cloud environments, including secrets management and network policies.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

• Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery and updates.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest developments in Kubernetes and cloud technologies.

• Continuously evaluate and improve processes, tools, and systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.

• Documentation:

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Ensure that runbooks and operational guides are up-to-date for use by the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience. Advanced Degree preferred.

• 5-8 years of experience

• Excellent communication skills

• Experience with end user issues

• Demonstrated technical experience

• Demonstrated experience working independently and collaboratively on projects

• Demonstrated experience trouble shooting

• Broad knowledge of applicable IT systems/applications

• Experience developing new systems and tools

• Experience in documenting and maintaining up to date systems procedures

• Advanced analytical skills

• Demonstrated Project Management skills

• Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment

• Experience identifying and implement process improvements
