Senior Financial Analyst - ESG Reporting

Description -

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Broad role definition: Be responsible for a regulation, jurisdiction or governance around the ESG emerging trends, regulations and disclosure requirements. * Work and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment to ensure HP is compliant all the time to the regulations in country. * Partner with organization to drive synergies and leverage for the best output from HP perspective. * Has the technical depth to understand and interpret emerging regulations and has the ability to convert them to definitive implementation plans. * Work with the inhouse data science and automation team to build and create models that allow better analytics for reporting. * Continue to improve upon the existing codes and projects to changing technology environment. * Identify opportunities for enhancing the automation and digitization journey within controllership. * * Be a champion of change and digital adoption within markets controllership.

Required skills /qualification :

  • Chartered Accountant/ finance professional with upwards of 10-12 yrs of experience. * Deep Finance Domain knowledge in a large multinational industry is a must. * Willingness to understand complex system and processes within the company. Ability to work and influence different levels of stakeholders within the organization and established executive presence. * * Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines Techno functional capabilities, like awareness of using Power BI, RPA etc are added advantage. * * Excellent analytical and leadership skills.

  • Ability to connect the dots and do exploratory data analysis. * Understanding and knowledge of Audit and compliance requirements. Experience in adopting new technology and initiatives to transform or innovative ways of performing the accounting and compliance process. * Effective communicator with skills to sustain work environment towards accomplishment of organizational goals * * Advanced skills in using SAP/S4 HANA

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area. * * Excellent analytical skills. * Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel). * Excellent communication and influencing skills. * Superior teamwork skills * Strong business acumen. * Good project management skills.
