Senior Content Designer - Copilot, Dynamics 365 Finance

Microsoft’s Business Applications and Platform Studio is looking for a Senior Content Designer to help drive innovation in our AI Enterprise Resource Planning (AI ERP) software.

The Role

You’ve worked on multiple digital projects already and you're interested in learning more about the financial industry and building AI-driven solutions.

You’re experienced with large systems thinking and engaging with content at scale, bringing clarity to complexity through optimizing information architecture, taxonomy, and terminology.

You’re able to distill dense technical jargon into simple, readable, human language.

You enjoy working with multi-disciplinary teams (all the way from product managers and engineers to data scientists and researchers) and have strong written and verbal communication skills that can bring your team together to create simple and effective customer experiences.

You're a tireless advocate for the customer and excited about creating and iterating on product designs, discovering what works best and applying your knowledge to create incredible software products that will change the world for the better.

The role’s broad scope will give you ample room to flex your content design muscles — both on projects that have immediate impact on our Microsoft business applications portfolio and our greater AI investments, but also explorations that shape our long-term strategy, vision and the UX direction of the company.

  • Work closely with product managers, designers,researchers, and engineers, bringing a purely customer-centric mindset to the table to deliver high-quality outcomes that empower customers to do more.

  • Communicate complex concepts simply. From wordsmithing on the ground to architecting information at high altitudes, you use language to designexperiences that flow .

  • Become an expert onMicrosoft’s brand voice, UI copy patterns, and feature naming conventions to write consistent, understandable messaging.

  • Craft powerful narratives toshowcaseand evangelize features at regular intervals

  • Embody the "One Microsoft" motto and extend your design thinking beyond your own project, considering holistic company value in every solution you build.

  • Initiate and facilitate UX team-building efforts such as design reviews, workshops, pitch decks or other materials that help align people on common goals/direction.

  • Contribute to a welcoming and safe working space, fostering a diverse and inclusive team environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of combined experience in content-focused roles, including 4+ years as a Content Designer or UX Writer.

  • A portfolioof shipped projects detailing the full design process from incubation to execution, including research, collaboration, stakeholder management,iteration, release, and results.

  • Experience working in agile and lean methodologies in a multi-disciplinary working environment.

  • Experience supporting and leveraging User Research in the content design process to optimizeexperiences for customers.

  • Proficiency workingwithin modern component-based design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, etc...).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to drive success through moments of ambiguity, helping drive clarity amongst the team.

  • A detective in your work, you value asking good questions and investigating the source of assumptions

  • A creative relationship with language and an appreciation for the importance of good storytelling

  • Comfortable leading/facilitating conversations between stakeholders to find alignment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present your work to peers across disciplines.

  • Experience scoping, prioritizing, and estimating goal-oriented design efforts accurately.

  • Experience designing end-to-end enterprise-scale cloud software or services.

  • Experience designing for AI-driven solutions.

  • Awareness of inclusive design principles including accessibility.
