Education: Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics with good background in design and hands on experience in lab testing.

Must have Skills:

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical design expertise in machined, sheet metal and plastics parts.

• Good working experience in CAD, BOM, GD&T and PLM tools.

• Worked on projects from requirement to final product release (requirements gathering, concept design, detailed design, prototyping and testing) and maintenance.

• Technically lead and/or execute test engineering projects, including development of key suppliers. Generate mechanical product specifications.

• Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test plans and test reports with limited supervision.

• Knowledge of design, development, and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and test stands.

• ​Knowledge of sensors, actuators, and data acquisition systems

• Knowledge of thermal load calculations

• Knowledge of Obsolescence process, Identifying alternate components, spec comparison, customer support for field issues, Interaction with suppliers.

• Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.

• Good Communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills and technologies as needed.

Good to have skills:

• Experience working with electrical panels, Motors, Drives and their integration with mechanical systems.

• Knowledge of Pneumatics and gas/liquid flow systems.

• Knowledge of Vacuum systems like chambers, pumps, gauges etc.

• Familiarity with NX and Teamcenter

• C/C++, Python coding, VB scripting in Excel & experience with LabVIEW is an added advantage.

• Experience in handling large data files, statistical processing and plotting.

• Knowledge in documentation, release process, reliability testing.

• Knowledge in Industrial automation is an added advantage.

• Working in global teams and interfacing with multiple stake holders.
