Job Summary:

In this role, you will be part of Trane Technologies’ Cloud Engineering team, providing robust and scalable cloud solutions to enable Trane Technologies to achieve premier performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platforms on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate should have a strong background in data engineering, extensive cloud platform experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate cloud infrastructure deployment and management.

· Optimize, automate, and tune cloud infrastructure, platform tools, and data pipelines for performance and scalability.

· Upgrade platform components and modify data pipelines as needed to support platform-related upgrades.

· Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and availability.

· Collaborate with technical architects, DevSecOps, data engineers, analysts, and data scientists to ensure the cloud platform supports their data requirements.

· Ensure cloud infrastructure is secure, compliant, and adheres to industry best practices.

· Follow standard Software Development Lifecycle practices in the development and management of cloud infrastructure, ETL, and database objects.

Key Competencies:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 10+ years of experience with data engineering, data modeling, ETL, and data warehousing concepts.

· 7+ years of experience with cloud platforms, specifically GCP and its technologies such as Big Query, Data fusion, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage. Experience with infrastructure and platform engineering is an added advantage.

· Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Terraform, or equivalent for infrastructure as code.

· Experience with DevOps tools and techniques (e.g., CI/CD, GitHub, VSCode preferred, Terraform, etc.).

· Experience using Agile methodology to perform software development.

· Knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards.

· Knowledge of SQL and database design principles.

Qualifications:

· Experience with GCP technologies such as Big Query, Data fusion, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage, or equivalent technologies.

· Certifications in GCP.
