Introduction

Position is responsible for maintaining compliance of systems & applications with technical requirements, security standards, access control, performance, change management, and troubleshooting.

Support MS SQL server database components of software with user access management, connectivity, & DBA support, including Microsoft SQL server activities for server deployment, security, replication, and performance.

Support Symmetry CAS, Genetec VMS, and middleware systems hosted in cloud environments & connected to edge devices (badge readers, cameras, alarms, etc) via secure & segmented software-defined networks.

Support Everbridge Suite solution used for emergency notifications.

Perform regular testing and validation of vulnerability patches applied to software, databases, and operating systems

Manage overall system security and IT continuity plan, including access approvals, regular database backups, password updates, access, and regular validations

Monitor system performance and investigate/diagnose/address performance issues when needed

Contribute to network and cloud transformation efforts to improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and security

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing infrastructure.

Your role and responsibilities

Infrastructure specialist and software support position responsible for systems that manage enterprise physical security systems, including a Controlled Access System (CAS), Video Management System (VMS), Emergency Notification solution, and supporting software and edge devices. Most systems are deployed with centralized cloud hosts running enterprise software, integrated with edge devices within each building via secure segmented networks.

Ability to support enterprise IT solutions used globally, with availability to address critical issues outside of standard business hours when necessary

3+ years of experience providing Windows server support

3+ years of experience as DBA supporting Microsoft SQL servers

3+ years supporting distributed systems with edge devices, connected via secure & segmented software-defined networks (experience with AMAG Symmetry, Genetec, and/or Everbridge Suite preferred)

3+ years hands-on experience supporting cloud-based solutions on multiple operating systems

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Able to clearly communicate with leadership and colleagues about technical capabilities, limitations, issues, and recommendations.

Highly organized, detail oriented, independent, and resourceful.

Able to manage complex technical projects with diverse global stakeholders and detailed, interdependent requirements

Experience with Agile practices and associated tools is preferred

Able to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot issues

Exposure to IT asset and inventory management, network knowledge regarding ACL and VLAN configuration management
