Job Summary

This role will support our global HR/Payroll organization, working as a Database Administrator, team Lead & solution implementor for HR /Payroll systems. There will be an opportunity to shape and influence the development methods, working in collaboration with world class partners and customers. The role will need to partner with the various teams and functions – HR, Payroll, Compensation, Recruiting, Learning Management, and with various parts of the Digital Technology organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer Oracle RAC production databases running Oracle 19c or higher on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) including the design, provisioning, and maintenance of the databases.

  • Design, create, and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production environments.

  • Provide installation, monitoring, patching, and database administration operations and maintenance services for Oracle Database, Oracle Advanced Security, Oracle RMAN

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues related to connectivity, performance, and data integrity, leveraging SQL scripts, and other tools like Azure SQL DB Query Store insights.

  • Configuring database/network connectivity including database security.

  • Efficiently manage database storage, backups, and recovery processes.

  • Work closely with other DBAs, application administrators, developers, and testers to improve system performance, data quality, define requirements and develop solutions to complex problems.

  • Provide rotational on-call, 24/7 support for production environments.

  • Available to work in US Hours.

Required Skills:

  • Expertise in Oracle Database Administration tools (i.e. Oracle Database, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Oracle Enterprise Manager)

  • Expertise in working with System Admins/Storage/Network teams to address any external issues effecting the environments with knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity on LINUX and shell scripting.

  • Experience with Database Management Systems (DBMS) such as Microsoft (MS) SQL Server with writing shell scripts for SQL/PLSQL for Database administration purpose.

  • Experience in Installation of WebLogic service like tomcat/ORDS and in configuring and maintaining Golden Gate replication and administer multi-site Oracle RAC database implementations using Oracle Data Guard and connection manager.

  • Modify queries, hints, indexes, de-normalizing data, and/or other techniques to improve performance of data reads and writes.

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13c and other tools

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, communication skills and discuss technology needs and strategy with team members and senior management.

  • Experience using Oracle Real Application Cluster’s and implementation best-practices.

  • Ability to analyze existing systems and make recommendations on which technology best suits the business requirement for high availability, Disaster Recovery, or high performance.

  • Experience in configuring database/network connectivity with high volume websites that use multi-tier architectures a significant plus.

  • Experience in building environments in Azure/AWS is a plus.
