This is a unique opportunity to join a high growth business unit whose mission is to design breakthrough high power gate driver solutions for the burgeoning Electric Vehicle and Energy Infrastructure applications. We are looking for an experienced Applications leader who is passionate about building strong teams, winning in the marketplace, and who has the confidence to build something from the ground up. This role serves as the primary technical management point of contact with our customers, as well as being the front-line leader that works with customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

This critical role is based out of Bangalore, India and reports to the Sr. Director & General Manager of the Driver Business unit.

Responsibilities

• Supporting worldwide customers for high power gate driver design in various applications.

• Growing, mentoring, and developing an applications team to support customers from recommending power solutions to customers, schematics design, schematics and layout review, board bring up, power optimization, and test plan execution.

• Organizing and directing the development of all evaluation boards and reference designs

• Enabling FAE teams worldwide with training, design tools, reference designs, simulation models, and other technical materials to allow them to successfully design-in and support high power gate driver solutions as independently as possible.

• Working closely with design engineering, product engineering, and marketing to define next-generation high power gate driver solutions.

• Understanding details of the application use case, including where additional product attach can be harvested.

• Analyzing markets and key Stakeholder positions for emerging application trends to drive innovation in future product offerings.

• Managing and optimizing the utilization of highly technical applications engineering resources.

• Develop, prototype and demonstrate modern power supply topologies for applications like on-board charging, Fast charging, Traction inverters, High power Inverters, etc

• Application management requirements : BS or MS degree in Electronics, Power Electronics; Proven experience in power electronics area both AC/DC and DC/DC for 1 to 100s of Kilowatts

• Self-motivated manager able to manage their team's expected deliverables to meet BU timelines

• Mindset actively seeks to help customers and colleagues

• Comfortable working with cross-site/cross-functional teams

• Enjoys collaboration of working in a multi-disciplinary team

• Candidate may be required to help support key customers on adoption of new products.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• 10+ years of experience in Application management or solution development
