Characteristics and Responsibilities

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be responsible for managing data assets across the organization, ensuring that data is accurate, reliable, and of high quality. This role involves working with a variety of stakeholders across the business to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures, and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Skillsets and Tools

• Utilization of tools such as SQL Server, Excel, Power BI or other tool for viewing, profiling, querying, and analyzing data from multiple data sources.

• Experience with Informatica or other Data Governance Management Platform

• Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify critical data elements and ensure that they are properly managed throughout their lifecycle.

• Design and implement data quality monitoring and reporting processes to ensure that data remains accurate and consistent.

• Work with IT teams to establish data standards and guidelines for data management and use.

• Identify and manage data risks and issues, working with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.

• Develop and deliver training programs to promote data governance best practices across the organization.

• Monitor/report on metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.

• Stay current with industry developments in data governance and compliance.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Governance principles and industry best practices

• Have a strong, proactive work ethic that anticipates business needs and adapts quickly to achieve success

• Possess an extraordinarily open mindset and be an out-of-box thinker

• Strives for excellence, overcoming challenges and boundaries that are roadblocks to success

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
