Microsoft Corporation Compliance Program Manager in Bangalore, India

The Compliance and Reporting team, within Microsoft Devices Operations (MDO) Compliance Governance & Sustainability organization, is responsible for compliance with regulations, aligning with industry standards and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles delivering operational guidance and timely reporting. The Compliance and Reporting team is hiring a Global Compliance Program Manager.

As a Global Compliance Program Manager , you will be responsible for monitoring, assessing and determining applicability of global compliance regulations related to Microsoft Devices Supply Chain. You will develop, manage and sustain a compliance regulatory roadmap, communicating regulatory developments and requirements to relevant internal teams for implementation purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, assess and determine applicability of global compliance regulations related to Microsoft Devices Supply Chain

  • Document and maintain regulatory compliance requirements and timeline updates

  • Develop, manage and sustain a compliance regulatory roadmap, communicating regulatory developments and requirements to relevant teams

  • Work with internal stakeholders in the implementation of regulatory requirements

  • Work with trade associations and industry groups to understand and influence regulatory developments and industry positions

  • Share trade associations positions with internal teams for awareness and input

  • Oversee coordination of internal stakeholder engagement on key regulatory developments affecting our hardware branded devices, in addition to its batteries and packaging

  • Stay abreast of the latest compliance trends, technologies, and best practices, and share them with internal teams and external partners.

  • Assist internal and external teams clarifying regulatory reporting questions and timelines, as well as be the point of contact for external reporting audits

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business, legal/regulatory, compliance, audit/consulting firm OR equivalent experience

  • At least 6 years of experience in managing regulatory compliance, preferably in the consumer hardware industry

  • Experience working with various countries and cultures, attending industry meetings across the globe

  • Strong and broad knowledge of global supply chain regulations and standards, such as manufacturing, eco-design, Basel Convention, energy-star, waste, etc.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues and requirements to different audiences and levels

  • Excellent program management skills, with the ability to plan, execute and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget.

  • Highly organized, disciplined, self-motivated and autonomous, with a strong attention to detail and quality.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity and change, with the ability to make decisions and adapt to new business models.
