The Team:

The Business Performance Management role oversees the financial performance of a $300M+/year budget used to deliver technology services that support SPGI’s technology landscape. This role helps build our service offering and provides the required Financial and Operational Transparency to our corporate and business stakeholders.

We partner with corporate finance, vendor and procurement teams on the yearly budget allocations and tracking, tech-financial reviews , and high-value contracts management and tracking. Our core values are; focus on the solution, take action, and honor your commitments.

The DTS organization supports a large and complex estate of technologies/domains – Cloud & Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, Platforms and Tools which are consumed by our business stakeholders to deliver excellent service to S&P Global’s customer base. The Business Performance Management role ensures efficient and optimized use of our budget to meet company objectives.

What’s in it for you:

SPGI is seeking a dynamic and detailed-oriented Business Performance Management Professional to help us ensure optimal use of the financial resources in our organization. In this role you will have:

  • Responsibility to manage, monitor and optimize the use of DTS’s $300M+ budget

  • Work with the Service Owners to monitor and track tower-wise spend versus budget

  • Work and support Corporate Finance team on monthly budget reviews, sharing financial reports to senior leadership

  • The opportunity to shape the way we deliver service, develop a team, and engage directly with the most senior stakeholders in a 40k+ staff organization

  • The ability to influence partner relationships and strategic technology choices in working with vendor/procurement teams

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize how DTS invests the budget, contracts, and cost

  • Assist in the development of a resource plan across DTS, location strategy and overall staff footprint

  • Serve as the primary interface between DTS and the Corporate Finance and Procurement teams

  • Interact with a managed services provider to optimize cost and value

  • Support the development of financial transparency of DTS’s services working with Finance and other DTS functions

  • Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, dealers, and sales representatives

  • Facilitate vendor strategy in partnership with Procurement

  • Develop financial reports and provide ongoing performance metrics and analytics

  • Ensure all contracts, invoices and accounts are raised in a timely manner and processed according to company policy

  • Provide support to the CTO in the preparation and coordination of submissions as required (business case and business planning proposals, funding submissions) including service delivery frameworks, budget information and general organizational information.

  • Establish regular cadence with the divisional CFO’s to review DTS spend and share supporting volumetrics

  • Build performance metrics for the investments made and the value generation

  • Maintain the DTS scorecard for performance metrics

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 years + experience in similar roles in a major fin-tech organization

  • Graduate/MBA in Finance and/or Business Management

  • Experience managing 200+M budget and large infrastructure investments

  • Worked on major cost savings initiatives and has built cost allocation models

  • Excellent Analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and Presentation skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Problem solving

  • Organizational and negotiation skills

  • Good grasp of large-scale technology environments

  • Experience dealing with global vendors and managed service providers
