The BTG Business development leader for Cytiva is part of the India Commercial organization located in Bangalore and will be remote requiring extensive travel to customer sites. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify new business opportunities in South Asia based on Cytiva portfolio. Connection with KOLs in the industry.

  • Create innovative pricing models for Cytiva products. Identify and craft incentive programs to accelerate sales in specific areas.

  • Win loss analysis and action planning. Create business cases for new initiatives.

  • Support forecasting, Key account management and DBS initiatives.

  • Strong skills in Excel, SFDC and Qlik sense.

Key Responsibilities: Business Development Manager

  • Market Research & Strategy:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the biopharma manufacturing and discovery space.

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve growth targets.

  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Identify and establish relationships with key decision-makers in biopharma companies, including manufacturing and discovery teams.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives to offer relevant solutions.

  • Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Sales & Business Development:

  • Generate leads and pursue new business opportunities, including initiating and negotiating contracts with biopharma clients.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., product management, marketing, Finance and sales) to develop proposals, presentations, and tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets by driving revenue growth through new and existing accounts.

  • Product Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Cytiva’s products and services, and effectively communicate their value proposition to customers.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, including advancements in biopharma manufacturing and discovery, to identify potential opportunities for innovation and growth.

  • Develop relations with Government stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials that resonate with biopharma customers.

  • Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to ensure product offerings align with market needs and customer expectations.

  • Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and track clear cross functional plans

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market insights for senior management.

  • Analyze customer feedback and market trends to refine business development strategies and improve customer engagement.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA or MS/PhD in a scientific discipline) is a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on manufacturing and discovery sectors.

  • Strong understanding of biopharma manufacturing processes, drug discovery, and related technologies.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
