Nielsen Associate Data Analyst in Bangalore, India

In this position, you contribute to making market research data available for advertisers, media owners and media agencies. Our solutions help these companies in making decisions around their marketing communication strategy. The research data, from a wide range of vendors including Nielsen itself, helps answerquestions like: “What online sources can I use to reach the audience of this television show? How can I optimally align my message to what is important to my audience?” You will be working as part of an international team, the majority based in the U.S. and in Europe.

On a daily basis, you will be preparing the market research data for use in our software platformusing our proprietary software and processes, making sure the data is organized, accessible andaccurate.

We are at the start of re-inventing our entire data pipeline, and you will play an important role in bothautomating and modernizing it. We expect you to be comfortable working with data and numbers, and have a keen eye to automate and improve processes.

We expect you to be capable ofunderstanding and using the current process, and apply your skills to implement improvements toour system in Python. In your role, you will liaise with various parts of our business: the data team, the ETL developers,internal data vendors and software development. You will have a chance to shape what ouroperational process will look like in the future.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Informatics, Statistics or similar with anemphasis on data;

  • Media or market research experience is a plus

  • Some programming experience, ideally in Python;

  • Result-driven mentality and affinity with data and research;

  • Affinity with software and quantitative techniques;

  • Analytical thinking combined attention to detail;

  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing);
