Job title:

Devops Architect

Your role:

  • Design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective AWS cloud infrastructure solutions based on business requirements.

  • Utilize best architecture/capabilities across different underlying platforms while avoiding duplication of functionality.

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines & Infrastructure as code (IaC) for automated deployment, testing, and monitoring of infrastructure and applications.

  • Evaluate and recommend DevOps tools and technologies based on organizational needs.

  • Implement security best practices, Industry standards and regulatory requirements (ISMS, MLPS & GDPR) to protect data and infrastructure/Cloud assets.

  • Cloud, infra security consultant and point of contact for all Operational security escalations.

  • Optimize the Cloud services architecture for performance and cost.

  • Contribute to the selection, prototyping, and implementation of hardware, Operating Systems, applications and tools, and technical solutions to business problems.

  • Interact with internal and external technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to availability, functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.

  • Define and implement best practices for cloud architecture, including fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery.

  • Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

  • Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and cost metrics using various monitoring tools.

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues and incidents and provide timely resolution.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for critical incidents and implement preventive measures.

  • Maintain documentation and runbooks for troubleshooting common issues and procedures.

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and career development.

You're the right fit if: (4 x bullets max)

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • 10+ years of overall experience with minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineer Role .

  • Strong knowledge in microservices architecture and prior experience in Cloud Foundry, Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Ability to manage, upgrade and support a fleet of Kubernetes/CF services.

  • Experience in designing large-scale cost efficient systems in a distributed environments.

  • Strong knowledge in DevOps/SRE principles and prior experience in creating & optimizing CI-CD Pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (Git), Artifactory (Jfrog, Docker Registry etc), Black-Duck, Fortify & Sonar-Cube scans.

  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash and PowerShell), Python and Groovy Scripting / Programming.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, AWS CDK or similar tools.

  • Experience in monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar technologies.

  • Strong understanding of various AWS Services like IAM, VPC, EKS, S3, EC2, RDS, AmazonMQ, Load Balancers, Lambda, Step functions, Athena, Gateways etc.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 (ISMS) & 9001 (QMS)

  • Strong understanding of Agile & ITSM/ITIL process.

  • Strong knowledge on Linux based operating systems & workload management and networking systems.

  • Experience in dealing with performance, scaling issues.

  • A strong sense of ownership of the work you do and belief in doing things the right way for the right reasons.

  • Natural curiosity, ability, and desire to learn quickly.

  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, CAB/TRM and and process improvement initiatives.

  • Identify areas for innovation and propose new technologies or approaches to enhance the infrastructure and development processes.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in driving ISMS, QMS & MLPS preparation.

  • Familiarity with open-source frameworks/libs.

  • Experience with Python or Go

  • Cloud certifications such as AWS, Azure, and FinOps are a plus.

  • Understanding of basic Linux kernel and window server operating system, Active Directory etc.
