Position Details:

The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at Loyola University Maryland is seeking a full-time Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of French to teach in the department (4/4 load) for AY 2024-2025. Position duties include teaching in the core language sequence (FR 101-104), as well as providing service to the department and University. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who will contribute to LUM’s stated goal of equity and inclusion of the academic community. Successful candidates must have at least a Master’s degree or equivalent in French, must have native or near-native fluency in French, teaching experience at the university level, and a record of successful teaching and pedagogical innovation. The successful candidate must possess an awareness of an interest in high impact practices in line with the mission of Jesuit higher education.
