Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant, preferably right out of a CPA firm, to join our team in Baltimore. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, including the analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, review of financial statements, and participation in various business initiatives and projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with professionals across various teams within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.

• Review and provide commentary on financial statements to senior leaders of the Accounting team.

• Assist with year-end financial statement audits and other audits as required.

• Support accounting operations for international entities.

• Engage in daily treasury activities.

• Prepare journal entries on a daily basis.

• Collaborate with a talented group of Accounting professionals.

• Leverage Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Possesses knowledge and experience in Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient in General Ledger management and maintenance

• Experienced in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Familiar with Month End Close procedures and responsibilities

• Skilled in Account Reconciliation

• Ability to Analyze Financial Statements effectively

• Experience with Audit PBC lists

• Proficient in Journal Entry Preparation

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Background in Staff Accountant role or similar is advantageous

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a team and independently as needed

• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Relevant certifications such as CPA are a plus.
