Johns Hopkins University Sr Research Program Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland

We are seeking a Sr. Research Program Coordinator. The SR. Research Program Coordinator will primarily support the work of the Resource and Coordinating Center (RCC) for the Early Intervention to Promote Cardiovascular Health of Mothers and Children (ENRICH) program. ENRICH aims to test the effectiveness of an intervention, delivered in the context of evidence-based home visiting, to promote cardiovascular health and reduce disparities in maternal and early childhood cardiovascular health. ENRICH is a multi-center, cluster-randomized trial of a common intervention being implemented in seven Clinical Centers across the US, in partnership with evidence-based home visiting programs, and supported by the RCC. The RCC manages coordination and communication across ENRICH Committees, Clinical Centers, and NIH funding partners; develops study policies and protocols; develops and provides training to research staff on study protocols; develops and maintains systems for reviewing and tracking ENRICH publications and ancillary studies; and develops and maintains centralized systems for data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting. In addition to ENRICH, the Sr. Research Program Coordinator may provide support for other ongoing clinical trials housed in the Department of Epidemiology, Center for Clinical Trials and Evidence Synthesis.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage meetings and communications with external research partners, committees, and workgroups, including but not limited to, setting and distributing agendas, preparing meeting materials, and preparing meeting minutes.

  • Contribute to the development, review, and revision of study policies, procedures, and operations manuals.

  • Review, compile, and succinctly summarize information from varied sources, including the scientific literature, as needed to inform study decision making.

  • Track and manage multiple program activities and project-related issues simultaneously. Develop systems and tools for organizing and tracking project

  • activities, timelines, and study implementation.

  • Participate in project meetings with internal and external collaborators and partnering organizations with attention to identifying partner needs and issues that could potentially affect study implementation timelines and/or adherence to study processes and procedures.

  • Provide management and coordination of projects with a high level of organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and interpersonal and communication skills sensitive to the needs of the internal research team, project sponsors and partnering external organizations.

  • Assist with monitoring and managing IRB applications and IRB-related study communication, including administrative onboarding of research sites, preparation of study applications and finalizing materials (e.g., consents, data collection instruments, recruitment materials) for IRB submission.

  • Generate and maintain professional and complete documentation for projects and deliverables.

  • Proactively anticipate study needs, identify potential challenges and solutions, with active and timely communication to internal project leadership.

  • Assist with developing work plans, timelines, and progress reporting to funders and the broader research team.

  • Prepare dissemination materials for diverse audiences (manuscripts, reports, conference presentations, briefs)

  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills are required as is attention to detail and the ability to complete multiple tasks on a timely basis.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Advanced proficiency with standard computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) as needed for preparing polished and professional research materials, resources, and tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.

  • Ability to maintain meticulous and organized records.

  • A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to function both as a team member and independently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Three years related experience.

  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health or related field

Classified Title: Sr. Research Program Coordinator

Role/Level/Range: ACRP/03/MB

Starting Salary Range: $40,900 - $71,600 Annually (Commensurate with experience)

Employee group: Full Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9 am – 5 pm

Exempt Status: Exempt
