Purpose of Role

The Sr. Regional Merchant owns the development of comprehensive regional merchandising strategies tailored to specific gender within the category business. This individual serves as an expert in the specific gender and category within the region. This includes creating a regional line plan to meet consumer and account needs while ensuring alignment with financial goals and growth opportunities. The Sr. Merchant works cross-functionally throughout UA to inspire a collaborative and supportive operating environment and be a consensus-builder who drives results.

Your Impact

• Develop and implement a comprehensive long-term merchandising strategy for Accessories and Youth Apparel within the The Americas.

• Establish regional line plans to cater to consumer and regional requirements, ensuring alignment with financial targets and regional growth prospects.

• Enhance SKU productivity and efficiency throughout the region.

• Oversee marketplace management, implementing segmentation and exclusivity strategies in line with channel objectives.

• Partner with Global Product, Product Merchandising and Channel Merchandising teams to identify new growth opportunities and potential revenue streams.

• Prioritize and aggregate channel needs for submission to the Global Product teams.

• Lead Regional Go-to-Market initiatives in collaboration with Marketing, including seasonal storytelling, investment priorities, and hero product launches.

• Facilitate post-mortem analyses to track market shifts and evaluate performance across various metrics, enabling agile responses to business trends.

• Evaluate the total addressable market and category market share in North America to develop and impliment targeted strategies to enhance market share in pivotal categories.

• Build Consensus and Relationships with Cross-Functional Partners and act as a dynamic change agent, thought-leader, and connector to drive Merchandising excellence at UA.

• Lead and mentor a high-preforming team to promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with typically 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or typically 14 years of relevant experience without degree.

• Typically 3 - 5 years of management experience; or equivalent experience as the subject matter lead or expert in area of expertise.

• Demonstrated track record of leadership in merchandising and business growth.

• Proven ability to develop profitable merchandising strategies and collaborate effectively across internal teams.

• Strong leadership and mentorship skills, fostering a collaborative environment that drives outstanding results.

• Decisive and resolute in decision-making, even in ambiguous situations.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.

  • Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Relocation

  • Relocation may be provided up to a specified amount

Base Compensation

$119,139.00 - $163,816.40 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
