Johns Hopkins University Senior Lecturer in Baltimore, Maryland
Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include teaching 3 sections per semester (Fall and Spring) of Introduction to Scientific Computing (12 in-class contact hours a week) course as well as one section of the course Science and Film. Responsibilities also include all the activities associated with teaching: mentoring students, designing problem sets, developing active learning activities exam writing, maintaining course websites, integrating course content with laboratory exercises and in-classroom digital technologies, interacting with other faculty and teaching assistants.
PhD in the Biological, Chemical or Physical Sciences or related fields
Expertise in UNIX, PYTHON, or MATLAB
Must be experienced and dynamic teacher with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Must possess strong organizational skills and enjoy interacting with students
