As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities include:
Month-End Close: Prepare and book journal entries accurately and in a timely manner to support the company’s financial reporting objectives.
Lease Management: Review and validate income statement expenses for operating equipment, financing equipment, and real estate leases.
Reconciliations: Complete balance sheet reconciliations and roll-forwards using tools like Blackline, ensuring items are addressed and processes are continuously improved.
Technical Research: Analyze and address technical accounting guidance for complex transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment.
Financial Statement Disclosures: Prepare high-quality, compliant disclosures to meet reporting requirements.
Budgeting Support: Collaborate with the finance team during quarterly and yearly budgeting processes.
SOX Compliance: Execute key SOX controls to maintain compliance with organizational standards.
Audit and Project Support: Assist in quarterly reviews, annual audits, and other cross-functional projects as needed.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA certification or CPA candidacy preferred.
Experience: 2-5+ years in public accounting or experience within a large corporate organization.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP or other large ERP systems is a plus. Blackline experience is advantageous.
Expertise: Strong grasp of GAAP and its application to new and existing transactional processes.
Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze challenges and deliver creative, actionable solutions to technical accounting questions.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information effectively.
Independence: Thrives in a self-directed work environment but also contributes positively to team efforts.
Time Management: Capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven workplace.
In-Office Requirement: Must be available to work in-office 3 days per week (subject to change).
