Johns Hopkins University Research Program Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland
The Department of Mental Health seeks a Research Program Assistant who will be responsible for recruiting, tracking, and interviewing participating youth from Baltimore City/County for a funded research project. The position is a casual/on-call position. Hours will vary depending on tasks assigned and volume of participants. We expect this position will range from 5 – 35 hours a week over the course of the project, depending on project needs.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in training on recruitment and interview protocols, including training on using web platforms for data collection, management, and tracking and equity training for interacting with participants.
Meet regularly with research team as part of daily supervision meetings.
Schedule and conduct qualitative interviews with participants.
Recruit participants and contact participants regularly.
Track data collection progress.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must have strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency with laptops, tablets, computers, and MS Office applications.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
Some related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in Spanish.
Some college courses preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $15.40 - $23.25 HRLY (Commensurate w/exp.)
