Johns Hopkins University Research Data Analyst in Baltimore, Maryland

The Academic Office in the Department of International Health (DIH) at the Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH) is in the process of evaluating our academic programs. Specifically, to evaluate all master’s level DIH degree programs in their ability to prepare students adequately and successfully with the knowledge and skills necessary and relevant to working in the current International Health workforce.

We are currently hiring a Research Data Analyst who will work with the DIH Central Academic team. This is a continuation of work that began in 2023. As such, IRB approval has already been received, and survey instruments have been created and implemented. There are remaining works to be done to analyze some of the survey data received, as well as perform Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with employers external to JHU.

Special Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Qualitative research methods – data collection and analysis (NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Dedoose ok).

  • Quantitative data analysis – this work needs to be in STATA.

  • Strong communication and critical thinking – both written and oral.

  • The ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources and distill and summarize effectively.

  • Good time management.

  • The ability to work independently and have good judgment about when to elevate a question or issue to a higher level for clarification or action when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Three years related experience.

  • Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $22.83 - $40.04 HRLY ($25.00 HRLY targeted; Commensurate with experience)
