Kennedy Krieger Institute offers more than 55 outpatient clinics, home and community programs, education, research, pediatric neurobehavioral and rehabilitation/feeding inpatient units and a day hospital.

This position is 40 hours per week, working Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00am-6:30pm.

Responsibilities

· IV insertion/ infusion monitoring

· Collecting lab orders in EPIC, proper labeling, and lab result follow ups

· Attentiveness to scheduling follow up visits (office visit/infusion visit/research visit) at check out

· Preparing charts for review

· Working within an interdisciplinary team

· Following research protcols

· Escorting families to DEXA; knowing when to retrieve DEXA

· Navigating through EPIC and its communication system

· Responding to patient phone calls and MyChart messages

· Maintaining general clinic flow

Qualifications

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or enrolled in a BSN program to be completed within 2 ½ years of hiring date.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required and minimum of 1 year pediatric experience preferred.

License: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license from Maryland or a compact state.

Certification: Current CPR certification that included hands on skills
