Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician - Preferred.6 years of related experience required

Functions as work lead for a group of BMET III, II, I and Associates. This work is performed under minimal supervision and using the tools and techniques of biomedical technology. Team lead is expected to provide support, expertise, proper communication, and professionalism to insure the completion of team responsibilities and work.

Applies biomedical technology, electrical and safety knowledge indicated herein.

Safely uses tools and equipment indicated herein.

Demonstrated ability to solve problems with unfamiliar devices and manage information indicated herein.

Demonstrated ability to test, troubleshoot and repair a wide variety and the most complex clinical and non-clinical equipment, devices, and systems.

Requires proficient written and verbal English communication skills, at least on a college level, to interact with departmental/JHM staff and manufacturer’s representatives.

Identifies and avoids hazards as indicated by warning labels, signage, lights and other warning devices.

Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry or engineered standards.
