Description: This position will work on a wide range of employee benefits and executive and director compensation matters. The individual will be responsible for providing advice on ERISA, tax, and corporate law compliance matters relating to employee benefits (including qualified and nonqualified defined contribution and defined benefit retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, and wellness programs) and executive and director compensation arrangements. The position will assist the lead lawyers for retirement plans, compensation, and health and welfare plans, in drafting plan documents, agreements, equity awards, and employee communication materials and in working with human resources, tax, labor relations, and accounting on compliant administration of employee benefit plans and wellness programs. The position will assist in managing outside counsel in ERISA and employee benefit litigation matters. The position will also assist the corporate lawyers on the executive compensation and benefit plan elements of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 to 7 years of experience in providing legal advice with regard to ERISA plans and other employee benefit and compensation programs.

-Significant experience with employee benefit plans, long- and short-term incentive compensation, ERISA litigation, and corporate transactions.

-Familiarity with ERISA as well as the tax, corporate, health care reform and privacy requirements relating to employee benefits.

-Prior experience in a team environment

-Demonstrated ability to write and communicate concisely and precisely.

Desired Skills:

-Experience with defined benefit pension plans is a plus.

-Some familiarity with securities law disclosure rules also desirable.

-Good interpersonal and communication skills.

-Ability to work in a team environment.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $166,700 - $314,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $145,000 - $277,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
