University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) School of Pharmacy (SOP) is currently seeking an Assistant Director, Admissions in the Deans Administration, Office of Student Affairs.Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, the Assistant Director,Admissions is responsible for achieving established academic program enrollment goals through established and data-driven recruitment practices. This position will work with and indirectly report to theDirector of PharmD Admissionsand in collaboration with Program Leadership, is a representative of the University serving as the point person for the recruitment of students and the management of communications to external stakeholders. The Assistant Director, Admissions is expected to work with diverse groups of individuals within the university to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive communication plan, with a primary focus on recruitment. The Assistant Director, Admissions will formulate and implement a comprehensive recruitment and admissions plan that includes targeted advertising, travel, campus visits, and triaging admissions for the Doctor of Pharmacy Degree program(s) including prospective, in-progress applicants and, when assigned, accepted students. The Assistant Director, Admissions should have a demonstrated record of success in recruitment in higher education, and experience with generating and delivering a marketing and recruitment plan. The work requires flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and attention to detail. The incumbent must support the mission of the university and be motivated to promote the growth and development of its programs. The Assistant Director, Admissions must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of individuals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position requires that the selected candidate travel greater than 50% of the time for *recruitment and professional development activities. Must own personal transportation. Ability to *be flexible to work evenings and weekends. The successful candidate for this position will be able to describe and demonstrate their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness as well as how they contribute to a respectful, positive workplace. * *PRIMARY DUTIES: * Assist in the establishment of new strategic partnerships with high schools and universities to increase enrollment, including early assurance programs for high school students to be accepted into the Doctor of Pharmacy program if completed pre-requisites and other pre-pharmacy requirements. * Recruit students to attend the University by creating awareness about the University, its programs, and scholarship opportunities among students, counselors, and alumni. Participate and represent the school at national, regional, and local recruiting events. * In coordination with Director of Student Affairs, manage the admissionsand recruiting processwiththegoalofensuringtheincomingclassisofthedesiredqualityanddemographic diverse students. * Plan applicant outreach and other recruiting activities such as summer internships and summer camps. Targettop candidates and coordinate campus visits, interviews, or events that will reinforce the interest of those candidates. * Directtheadmissionsprocessbyengagingprospectivestudentsandapplicantsandensuringtheyareinformedofrecruitmentandpre-admissionactivities.Recommendopportunitiestoenhanceadmission process from inquiry throughorientation. * Coordinateandguidenewstudentstostudentfinancialaidandotherstudentservicesresources,suchasacademicaccommodations.Serve as a contact for international students. * Create statistical reports and provide analytical data to assist with recruitment, enrollment, and yield strategies. * Maintain daily tracking of prospective students and applicants. Assess recruitment activities and documentation of their outcomes. * Collaborate with the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Director of Admissions, Records, and Registration and Program Leadership to implement a comprehensive recruitment and admissions plan to meet and increase enrollment goals. * Recommend improvements to engagement/recruitment strategies and changes to policies and procedures that includes considerations for prospective students who are completing pre-pharmacy coursework. * Coordinate theadmissionprocesswithregistrationandrecordstoensureprospecttocurrentstudent status isseamless. Maintain communication with prospective students to encourage and support completion of the application process. * Assist in development and execution of enrollment management strategies to include formulating andexecutingstudentrecruitmentstrategies.Assistinplanningandstrategizingrecruitmenttravel.Facilitateandcoordinateadmissions initiativeprograms. * Analyze targetaudiencesanddevelop marketingstrategiestoattractpotentialstudents.Participate inopenhouses forprospectivestudents andevents, and presents to a wide variety of internal and external constituents. * Review and analyze reports for trends and target improvements. * Assistindevelopmentandimplementationofenrollmentmanagementstrategiesandensurepoliciesandproceduressupport. * Collaborate with Program Leadership to help solidify and manage existing partnerships within healthcare systems, businesses, and educational entities. * Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: *Bachelor's degree. Master’s degree preferred. *EXPERIENCE: *Two (2) years of experience in admissions, student enrollment, or a directly related field. Prior experience in higher education preferred. *SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE:N/A. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Recruitment, admissions, or student services experience is preferred. Demonstrable experience utilizing social media preferred.
