Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk, located in BALTIMORE, Maryland. This is a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for auditing and reviewing transactions in large volumes and handling data entry tasks. You will be utilizing MS Excel and an internal ERP system to carry out your responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Audit and review transactions in large volumes to ensure accuracy

• Utilize MS Excel to manage data, specifically making use of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables

• Handle data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Manage daily transaction processes and audit activities

• Use an internal ERP system to process and track transactions

• Handle contracts as required by the role

• Ensure account records are maintained and reconcile accounts as necessary

• Perform accounting functions as part of the role

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to focus on tasks at hand.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including knowledge of Excel Formulas, Pivot Table, and VLOOKUP

• Experience in audit and audit activities

• Ability to process daily and financial transactions accurately

• Strong skills in computer data entry and high-volume data entry

• Familiarity with numeric data entry

• Proven ability to perform data entry tasks efficiently

• Experience in account reconciliation and maintaining account records

• Strong understanding of general accounting functions

• Possession of strong analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively

• Ability to adapt to new software and IT systems quickly

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
