Jabra Vibro-Acoustic Simulation Specialist in Ballerup, Denmark

We are seeking a Simulation Specialist to join our Audio Technology team.

In this role, you will enhance our capabilities of using simulations for optimizing the vibro-acoustic design of future GN products.

You will be working closely together with acoustic and algorithm developers in the team, plus having a strong interface to our product development and research teams.

As a Simulation Specialist, you will contribute to our mission of Bringing People Closer. You will utilize your proficiency in numerical simulations and acoustic modeling to contribute to the advancement of innovative audio technologies.

Your work will directly influence the performance and quality of our products, such as speakerphones, audio/video systems, and headsets. By integrating advanced simulation techniques, you will work to set the foundation for innovative technologies and ensure our products meet the highest standards of acoustic quality.

The team you will be part of

The Audio Technology team develops audio technologies that make GN products the preferred choice for customers. We work closely with our research and product development teams.

We focus on adding value for both internal and external customers, building on solid craftsmanship. Our approach is modular, constructing new technology on a robust and well-designed foundation. We verify and mature our technology through prototyping and thorough testing under realistic conditions.

Our team is diverse, with members from various nationalities, and we embrace personal and cultural differences. Our daily communication language is English. We maintain a learning culture where we support each other and learn from our mistakes - succeeding and failing as one team.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Utilize numerical simulations to develop innovative technologies for GN's collaboration products, including speakerphones, audio/videosystems, and headsets.

  • Employ simulation techniques to set requirements for products, ensuring optimal performance and quality.

  • Interpret and analyze simulation results to offer actionable insights and recommendations that promote product improvements and innovations.

  • Play a key role in the design and optimization process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of acoustic performance and user satisfaction.

  • Participate in the development and refinement of simulation models, ensuring they accurately represent real-world scenarios and deliver reliable results.

  • Support the integration of simulation-oriented insights into the overall product development lifecycle, from concept to final production.

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you

Have a degree within acoustic engineering, electrical engineering, physics or similar

  • Possess a strong proficiency with numerical simulation tools, particularly Finite Element Method (FEM) and Boundary Element Method (BEM).

  • Have hands-on experience with COMSOL Multiphysics and can efficiently set up and solve complex vibro-acoustic models using this software.

  • Are knowledgeable in analytical modeling techniques such as the Transmission Matrix Method and the Lumped Elements Method and can apply these methods to solve vibro-acoustic problems.

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the underlying physics of vibro-acoustic phenomena and can translate this knowledge into accurate and reliable simulations.

  • Can conduct vibro-acoustic measurements to debug and verify simulation models.

  • Are capable of interpreting simulation results and providing actionable insights to guide design and optimization processes.
