SUMMARY:

Develop and maintain a quality system to assure that all products provided by suppliers meet AAR and end user specifications; and are suitable for their intended use. Develop and maintain Ground Operating Procedures, as well as an Aviation Safety SOP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement and maintain quality systems in accordance with program and company requirements

• Implement and maintain safety /environmental programs in accordance with program and company requirements

• AAR APRISe business unit (Program) focal point

• Implement and ensure the conduct of internal audit and corrective action program

• Prepares for and acts as focal point for ISO, US Government and customer quality/safety audits

• Participate in all flight safety meetings

• External and Internal audit focal point

• Ensure that corrective and preventive actions follow effective root cause analysis processes

• Act as advocate for high quality/safe operations

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.

• In order to obtain a secret clearance, qualified candidates must have US Citizenship.

• Ability to pass physical screening requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) from a four year college or university; or eight years related experience

• 15 years of experience working in aircraft organizational/intermediate maintenance environment

• FAA Mechanic w/ A&P preferred

• Quality Management/Audit credential preferred

• Safety credential preferred

• HAZMAT credential preferred

Work Conditions

Position is located OCONUS and in an austere environment; work is being performed on the flight line, limited hangar or aviation field environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and parts, tooling and other awkward items sometimes weighing greater than 50 lbs, including up and down stairs.

• Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.

• Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
