DUTIES: * Maintain the building, equipment, and grounds in a neat and clean manner, complete minor repairs as required, and perform preventative maintenance. * Perform custodial duties after school events and sports games. * Regularly clean and decontaminate building, equipment, and work areas after contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials to help prevent blood borne pathogens. * Prepare rooms for various functions in the building, maintaining building security. * Direct all maintenance requests to appropriate supervisor and ensure that related repairs are completed in a timely manner. * Handle staff requests based on the work schedule and safety issues, prioritize and respond accordingly. * Regularly inspect facilities for normal wear and tear, vandalism, safety hazards, etc., and ensure that proper maintenance is completed in a timely manner. * Assist with student supervision in custodian\'s duty areas. * Participate in in-service and/or professional development programs, funded by the district, when requested by administrator/supervisor. * Comply with all applicable district, state, and federal policies and laws. * Perform other duties as assigned.
