WorkSource Oregon Administrative Advocate in BAKER CITY, Oregon

The Administrative Advocate is often the first person clients, partners, and prospective employees meet when they enter our office. Develops and delivers domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, persons with disabilities abuse, human trafficking, and stalking education programs. Eligibility Requirements: * Bachelor\'s degree or two years\' experience in provision of services to at risk families or two years\' management experience in an office setting. * Must agree to a criminal history background check and drug screening. * Must be 2 years free of any MayDay association, use of services or DV/SA experiences. * Complete 40-hour core advocacy training within 15 working days. * Proficient with Microsoft Office software and phone systems. Proficiency with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and presentation applications. * Demonstrate a good understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence. * Must have excellent communication skills. * Must have excellent listening skills and counseling techniques. Duties: * Provide administrative support functions. Provides front desk reception coverage, as needed for backup. * Answers telephone and provides customer service to internal staff and external clients. * Drafts reports and correspondence. * Prepare, distribute, and file reports, letters, spreadsheets, and presentations for staff meetings, schools, and community outreach. * Assists with on-boarding process and orientation of all New Board Members and Staff. Trains and supervises volunteers and future advocates for client services. * Maintains supply inventory, equipment contracts & orders supplies for office/shelter. * Ensures travel authorizations, accommodations, and conference registrations. Audits/processes travel expense claims, mileage and reimbursement requests. * Maintains and processes all in kind donations and individual contributions tracking. * Monitors expenditures. Processes and ensures proper procedures for accounts payable. * Receives and reconciles Credit Card and Bank Statements. * Develops and delivers educational program, resources, and activities. * Coordinates adult support groups for victims. * Covers the Crisis Line, as scheduled and coordinated among Advocates. * Ensures daily visits are made to the shelter, as coordinated among Advocates. * Responds to Law Enforcement calls at the scene of crime and hospital, when appropriate. * Assists clients with obtaining Temporary Restraining Orders. Assists clients through the judicial system. * Timely documentation and maintenance of ALL records is conducted. * Other duties as assigned.
