SOS International LLC Project Renovations Crew (PRC) Country Manager (OCONUS) in Baghdad, Iraq, Iraq

Overview

This position is contingent upon a contract award

SOSi is seeking a Project Renovation Crew (PRC) Manager to support a large Base Operations Support (BOS) program providing operations & maintenance (O&M) support services to our U.S. government customer in Iraq. This position is responsible for managing the overall planning and execution of all Facilities projects throughout Iraq. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide oversight of all PRC operations to ensure optimal project planning, scheduling and execution to meet mission requirements.

  • Interface with Facilities and Post Management to provide expertise in project planning and updates on milestones, completion, and quality level being provided by the PRC.

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.

  • Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals.

  • Provide information and materials to these divisions as necessary to ensure adequate and legal documentation.

  • Oversight of work performed by tradesmen to ensure that it meets specifications, codes and established industry standards.

  • Instruct supervisors and staff in company work policies and procedures.

  • Review work orders and work order requests to ensure tasks are completed on time and inspect the projects to ensure all work is accomplished per the SOW.

  • Confer with staff to resolve performance and personnel issues.

  • Conduct daily meetings with trades to discuss project work, client concerns and trade shop workflow.

  • Evaluate employee performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in Scope Secret security clearance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited U.S. college or university in a related discipline.

  • Ten (10) years verifiable experience managing facilities related renovation and construction projects.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Valid driver's license from home of record.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information.

  • Expert computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team.

  • Ability to be innovative and be an agent for change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Master's Degree in a similar profession.

  • Relevant overseas contract experience.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio.

  • Previous work experience in hard environmental conditions.

  • Experience working with Contractor.

  • Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desired, but not required.

Work Environment

  • Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable or hazardous at times.

  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.

  • Requires periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.

  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
